We love this huge department store, not for its familiar style...Macy's anyone? But for the fact that there is a grocery store on the basement floor where you can stock up on fruits and vegetables.
One year it was so cold in March, with light snow flurries that we headed to this store to find gloves and scarves. Reasonably priced,...

El Corte Ingles is a Spanish department store with locations all over the Iberian peninsula. We went to the Plaza del Sol loaction. The store offers a tremendous choice of everything from mens' socks to Wedding dresses, The best deal was that foreign purchasers could obtain a 10% discount on top of the VAT refund. Too bad they didn't carry...

Anyway, I don't...

This shop is expensive if you want designer clothes. Even in the supposed January sales I thought it was a total rip off even with a more favourable pound/euro exchange rate. As for the "Sales" staff, what a joke they are, they just stand around and talk to each other. I felt they couldnt be bothered. There is a 10%...

If you're a tourist and go to the tourist desk, you can get a 10% discount coupon, but it excludes most of the major brands you would want to purchase (particularly Lladro, even though that brand isn't even listed as an exclusion on the coupon). El Corte Ingles is a huge department store, so if you're in need of something,...
