We love this huge department store, not for its familiar style...Macy's anyone? But for the fact that there is a grocery store on the basement floor where you can stock up on fruits and vegetables. One year it was so cold in March, with light snow flurries that we headed to this store to find gloves and scarves. Reasonably priced,... More

El Corte Ingles is a Spanish department store with locations all over the Iberian peninsula. We went to the Plaza del Sol loaction. The store offers a tremendous choice of everything from mens' socks to Wedding dresses, The best deal was that foreign purchasers could obtain a 10% discount on top of the VAT refund. Too bad they didn't carry... More

As part of a trip to Madrid we enjoyed shopping at El Corte Engles located on Plaza del Sol. Really enjoyed to be served by trained and good staff, especially these working on Tourists Counter. Were enjoyed additional 10% discount almost in every store departments for foreign visitors (non EU residents). More

El Corte Ingles is known to many for generations as a place for elegance, good taste and quality. My visit confirmed all of this and fashions were cosmopolitan and in good taste. More

Anything you need, you can get it at the many Corte Ingles stores in Spain. I needed a converter for my computer, they have it. I needed a bottle of wine, they have it. I needed some boots, they have it. We needed an aspirin, they have it. You name it, they have it. And they are everywhere. Sometimes there... More

Overpriced and crowded, the Corte Ingles is simply an expensive department store which doesn't offer anything to the persons interested in the latest European fashion trends. You will be better off looking for the boutiques all over the "Golden mile" as the district is known. Metro stations are Serrano / Goya / Velazquez / Nunez de Balboa Anyway, I don't... More

This shop is expensive if you want designer clothes. Even in the supposed January sales I thought it was a total rip off even with a more favourable pound/euro exchange rate. As for the "Sales" staff, what a joke they are, they just stand around and talk to each other. I felt they couldnt be bothered. There is a 10%... More

If you're a tourist and go to the tourist desk, you can get a 10% discount coupon, but it excludes most of the major brands you would want to purchase (particularly Lladro, even though that brand isn't even listed as an exclusion on the coupon). El Corte Ingles is a huge department store, so if you're in need of something,... More
