this gate is far from city center and ther eis a train station very close to it , but ONLY go if you have much time

Antonio Lopez Aguedo was the architect who built the Puerta de Toledo. The Neoclassical arch was a triumphal arch in the honor of King Fernando VII. There are doorways on each side of the central arch, which used granite for the building material, thus its grey color. I don't think it's worth a visit just to see this (unless you love these gateways), but if you're close by (maybe on your way to Madrid Rio Park), it's nice to see it and take a few pictures there.
