Nothing spectacular here. You go into the temple and you're out in 10 minutes. It's free, in a beautiful park so enjoy. more

As a sign of gratitude for the help provided by Spain in saving the temples of Abu Simbel, the Egyptian state donated this temple of Debod to Spain in 1968. I had heard about this transplanted Egyptian temple in the middle of a park from a fellow photo enthusiast. We went there about an hour before sunset and found the gardens full of families and lovers, a jazzman playing a sax, and all sorts of Madrilenos wandering around enjoying themselves. Its location in a small park is so pleasant, and it has a wonderful view (i think of the suburbs though, not the rest of the city). The museum inside the biggest temple part isn´t so great and it´s very stuffy and has narrow passageways and low ceilings... not for the claustrophobic, for sure. more

Nice Park with an authentic Egyptian 2,000 year-old temple that was transported to Madrid in pieces and reassembled...Very unique...And unexpected more

Set in the middle of a small pretty park , the temple was given to the Spanish by the Egyptian government , when they were to flood the original site by building the Aswan Dam Entrance is free and it is an interesting journey around the temple, which has exhibits explained in Spanish and English.
