A real visionary approach to city planning, with a broad, tree-lined boulevard fronting many of Madrid's premier sites, such as the Prado. Walk the full length, visit the museums (buy the three museum pass). See the statues in the traffic circles. Have a drink at one of the restaurants in the middle of the boulevard.

impressive avenue, no shady sellers!!! beggars at traffic lights...don't even think about finding public toilets because you will be disappointed.
