We visited the Museo Cerralbo in Madrid based on the reviews we read here on Tripadvisor and we were very glad we did. It is a delightful museum with so many paintings, nicknacks, collector's items, fancy furniture and fabulously decorated rooms, that we were bedazzled by what we saw. We must have spent 2 and a half hours there trying... More

We showed up just after opening and practically owned the place. Grand mansion, good audioguide, which helped us understand a lot about the place. Didn't find the helpful 15 minute film until after touring the mansion, which worked out OK as at that point it was nice to sit. Slight line to get in when we left, two hours later. More

Worth visiting for the house alone, the dimensions of the rooms are just right and the ballroom, though quite small, is of perfect refinement and elegance. The whole place is a little jewel hidden within Madrid. More

I was wonderfully surprised by this stunningly beautiful museum. This mansion is grand, opulent, and I would give this a "10" if I could. One is missing out if you don't make it a point to visit the Cerralbo while in Madrid.. More

We loved the 15 minute video and the excellent audio which made the hosue come alive. The Marquise had lots and lots of knick knacks which made you feel as if he was just out for the afternoon. More

I don't understand why this is not further up the list of sights to see in Madrid. It is stunningly gorgeous with opulent furnishings and priceless artworks. Since it isn't one of the more popular sights and doesn't seem to attract the large tour groups, it is possible to visit it without juggling with others. Also, it is less expensive... More

This museum was very close to our hotel and we probably would have missed it otherwise. But it's quite an interesting place and worth the time to visit. Basically it's a grand house where the owners travelled the world and bought everything they could find! Packed full of everything from Venetian glass to every imaginable type of sword ever produced.... More
