We had no trouble navigating this station and finding our train quickly. Nothing fancy. Utility oriented, as it should be. More

We arrived to Madrid and left by the way of this busy station and during our stay took a day trip to Toledo on the AVE train from it. We are pleased by how easy our connections were to the metro which stops within the station. There were attendants to assist tourists and we felt very safe with the level... More

Having travelled to this station a few years ago, I took the friend I was travelling with this time just to take a look at the station and she agreed with me that the architecture is excellent. It is undergoing a renovation at the moment and is shrouded in scaffolding etc. All the trees and plants are still there and... More

We travelled from Atocha to Seville Santa Justa on the AVE RENFE high speed train, and we found this station to be clean, pretty (lots of palm trees and plants) and super-efficient!! Easy to get to by taxi or Metro from the city itself. Its very similar to an airport in a few ways..........lots of cafes, information boards in both... More

atocha have the ave ( rapid train station) but if your train also stops in chamartin, Better go there, less passengers and more time to stuff your luggage, also atocha is more crowded, the good thing about atocha is the close it is to downtown, few blocks from el prado museum More

Everyone has to see this fantastic station with trees inside. And needs some patience to get his tickets... as the ticket offices are extremely crowded. More

I usually travel to Madrid from Malaga using the AVE, and the train station that the AVE uses is Atocha. On the ground floor are plenty of palm trees and greenery. The station has many cafeterias and many stores, so one can wander around when waiting for a train and be entertained. There are many pickpockets around, so one should... More
