Unless you are a true fashionista you will be bored within minutes and annoyed that it is so far off the beaten track. The washrooms are very nice, though. More

Unexpected sight in Madrid. Is not central but, if you have some spare time, is worth the time to get there. A comprehensive review of the Spanish fashion and custom history. More

After spending days upon days at the "famous" museos our group - all girls - saw this in a travel book and took the metro to this fabulous museo. Its located near the university and it was nice to see another part of town. Little to no tourists, slow paced, quiet, and easy to find. We loved seeing how Spanish... More

Sure, I love ALL art and all museums but i seem to crave something different now and then. There were some serious students taking notes...and then there were people like us, just strolling and enjoying the variety and display of clothing through the various eras. I especially liked how clothing was displayed and also how the fashions were explained in... More

This museum is a short walk from the Ciudad Madrid metro stop. I took my daughters aged 15 and 11 there as a refreshing break from art museums. The museum is not expensive (3€ for me, no charge for them) and the audio guide was free - although it did not always relate to the clothes on display, clearly some... More

If you love the history of clothing, fashion in general, or the work of designers, this is a great stop. Nice gift shop and cafe as well. About a 10 minute walk from the Moncloa metro stop. From this museum, it is also a short walk to the Museum of America More

This museum gets very few visitors, but it is worth going to. One learns how the Spanish dressed throughout their history. Everything is very well explained. There also seem to be many temporary exhibitions, many of them exhibiting clothes by the most famous designers of Spain. The museum store is a wonderful place to buy fashion accessories at very affordable... More

This could be a great museum, if only they replaced everything inside with something interesting! There can not be more than 50 dresses in this museum, none are all that out of the ordinary. I do not suggest this museum for anybody other than someone really enthusiastic about clothes, and even then, don't expect to see anything memorable. Thank god... More
