I was amazed that the bullfights can still draw 25k fans, which it did - nightly. The event itself is ok, but the experience is worth the 7 euro cheap seat price. Nice bar right across the road from the subway (which brings you right to the arena) where you can grab a bite or a drink at a reasonable... More

We went here one night to see a bullfight. It is right at a metro stop so very easy to get to. Mostly locals by far, tourists were few. We paid forty Euros each for what we thought were very good seats. It was overcast that evening so the sun wasn't an issue. Rent the cushions they offer because the... More

Well, the plaza is very nice. Ventas is an easy stop to reach from the Metro. Outside the bullfight the vendors are selling snacks and beverages. Tons of people are trying to see you tickets at a "discount" rate, but I'd prefer to buy from the ticket office. So, we did decide to see the bullfight - I mean it's... More

We have visited only the outside of the arena, but is really beatiful. We didn't want to see a corrida, and were horrified to read that a toreador had to be substituted, due to an accident with a bull... There were a lot of peolpe, non only tourists, to wait for the corrida. The architecture is Moorish, the place is... More

I had no desire to see a bullfight, but thought the museum would be interesting, and it really was! The costumes are breathtaking, and the little snippets of information with them(such as who was wearing what when they were killed by the bull!) made the visit come to life. The outside of the arena is a breathtaking example of Moorish... More

It's nice mixing with locals and watching their interest in the bull fights but the combination of very close bench style seating and more public smoking than perhaps what one is accustomed to may make some uncomfortable. Spend a couple of Euro and rent a cushion for the hard cement seats. More

Went on the guided tour inside the bull ring and thought it was fantastic. It was a great way to learn about the culture of bull fighting without actually seeing a bull fight. The tour doesn't last very long, but they give you plenty of time to take pictures. You get to go into the stands and into the arena... More
