This is the Spanish Versaille. Every room is filled with something to discover, art all over the place, kitchen appliances and other objects of every day life, it's fun to just walk around and feel the almost haunting atmosphere. You should at least devote a couple of hours to the main monastery itself but make sure to check the bus... more

Highly recommend a visit, especially in combination with a visit to the Valle de los Caidos (Valley of the Fallen) since they are so close. The monastery is more like a palace and for about 8 euros you can wander through it at your leisure and easily spend a couple of hours inside. Most of the rooms are full of... more
