Myself, my wife Cathy, my daughter Charlotte and our neice Sophie all stayed in a wonderful villa in Pogerola with glorious views from the balcony. We had a lovely week but it wouldn't have been quite the same without Gerry's (Gerrardo) pub in Pogerola village. Both Charlotte and Sophie are musicians as is mine host Gerry and his mate Andrea.... more

My husband and I have been to Amalfi 3 times. On our first visit (7 years ago?) we wandered by chance into Gerry's Pub for a drink and were charmed by Gerry and his hospitality. We visited the pub several times on that holiday. The same for our second trip to Amalfi 2 years ago. That's when we learned that... more

Just a 10 minute bus ride from Amalfi is the villiage of Pogerola. It is a magical place with an ancient Roman fountain in the "picallo piazza" with cold, clean water which you can drink. Gerry's Pub and restuarant is located in the villiage square. Gerry is a charming Italian man. He is an excellent cook, bartender and restaurant owner.... more

In August 2009 we stayed in the hotel near Gerry's pub (10 mins walking) and occasionally went to eat there. They have absolutely wonderful home-made food for any taste - starting with traditional Amalfian dishes to sandwiches and hamburgers. Really great sea food dishes! Very tasty home made wine as well. But the best thing is the atmosphere - very... more

Having decided to celebrate my birthday in Italy, I arrived on the Amalfi coast the day before it. We were renting an appartment In Pogerola and the owners told us about Gerry's pub. The day of my birthday, we went at the bar, first to use the Internet access (better fee than the one place in Amalfi), and to have... more

My family, including 2 young boys, stayed in Pogerola for a week and quickly discovered the delights of Gerry's Pub. As with all the other reviews, we can't speak highly enough of this place. Gerry is the most attentive host and extremely accommodating whether you pop in just for a drink, snack or full meal. The food is simple but... more

Having toured the Amalfi coast and visited a number of locations we stumbled upon, more by chance, the hilltop village of Pogerola. In an area whose primary industry is tourism, it was a refreshing change to find a village just slightly off the beaten track which was untouched by souvenirs, inflated prices or having to pay for parking! Gerry's Pub... more

My husband and I wandered in here after a long exhausting hike. We met Gerry himself, who told us they were closed but was happy to prepare us something himself. He came out with 2 delicious meals and beer as well for us. We chatted with him for a while, then were ready to move onward. Gerry refused to let... more
