My wife and I live part of the year in Amalfi--finds like this are usually best kept among friends (close ones at that)--but the kindness of the owners and the absolutely incredible delights demand otherwise. La Dolceria Dell Antico Portico is an incredible pastry shop located in the heart of Amalfi under the white portico following the main street. The shop is owned and run by Chef Tiziano and his wife Mafalda and they have an incredible passion for their products. The croissants and breakfast pastries are out of this world!! This charming eatery is tucked away from the main street in Amalfi, but is definitely worth the find. The creative assortment of pasteries, cookies, cakes, antipasti, appertifs, etc. are all delicious and beyond compare.
