It's quite a walk to the Villa, although it is along the pedestrian ways rather than a road. Not far before the Villa there is a cafe which provides a welcome sit down with a nice cold glass of Prosecco! The villa has quite extensive remains and it makes you realise just how much power a Roman emperor had to... More

Nice trip through Capri streets to go to the Villa Jovis. The cliff is very impressive, villa's scaves not so much. More

Those of you who are into Roman history, like to hike and as a result of that sweat profusely, go see Tiberius' villa. Well worth it! Bring lunch with you and have a lively discussion with the person you are with about how Tiberius would throw people off the cliff, speaking of, stunning views to boot. When you are done... More

So that is where my wife and I went. Starting from the Piazzetta in Capri, the way is... More

It's about a 45 minute walk up there, the view is wonderful and the history of this place is fantastic. It's amazing what the Romans could do with their watersupplies. With a bit of imagination you can picture the grand palace these ruins must have been once...And than of course there is Tiberius' leap, where, so the story is told,... More

This is quite the slog to get to. If you are not in great shape or have small children, take this into consideration. There is a nice little snack bar on the way so it's a good place to stop (or promise the kids ice cream on the way back). I liked Villa Jovis because of how many rooms there... More
