We took the funicular to the top of the hill really just to enjoy the views from the fort up there. After leaving the fort we saw a couple of tour buses outside of San Martino and decided to go in. We entered the chapel and marveled at its beauty and noticed people coming out from behind the altar, so... More

The Certosa is very interesting to visit. I loved the naval museum. But, most of all, I did love the view on Naples and it's marvelous bay, the Capri island, the Vesuvius. More

We actually went to this museum after getting the funicular up to the viewpoint over Naples. We paid six euros each and had a wander around, taking in the boats, paintings and carriages. It would have been nice to have been given a map of the museum with our tickets, but we managed to find our way around. The highlight... More

I landed here during the cultural week, so everything was free, and there were student guides who were keen to practise their English on me. Personally I preferred the chance to wander about alone, but it was nice to have the extra information. More

Well worth a visit. Museum exhibits well laid out and interestingly set up. We should have got the audio guide in English, but we didn't. Very little of the signing has translations. Cloisters in the middle of the complex are very impressive, and a good place to sit and rest when you are sated with culture. More

This museum houses the manger scenes with sculpted people draped in real gold and silk cloths. There are many different scnes depicting the birth of christ. The terraces offer incredible views of Naples bay and Mt Vesuvius More

I took the funicolare at Montesanto and then walked 5-6 blocks around to find this place. After being for several days in Rome, thought I had seen too many churches but the one here is magnificent. I stayed in there mesmerized by the marble work in walls and floors. And the frescoes all over. A baroque jewel! And then the... More

I wasn't planning to visit this museum except that my day's plans had backfired. It turns out serendipity is great! The place is serene, sitting atop, overlooking Napoli. The nativity scene collection is worth a look. More

Although the visibility was not good when we were there it is a great place from which to view the city and surrounding areas. Although the art outside of the church is of little interest the small nativity scenes are marvellous and well worth seeing being an art form in their own right. The Maritime museum which is housed at... More
