visiting San Severo is an experience and for some of the things to see you require to be less sensitive, i had a real problem when i saw the statues showing veins and nerves..the story goes that those are the remain of 2 lovers that were caught in the act by jealous husband The most awesome statue was by far... This must be one of the greatest works of art in the world. I’ve seen many stunning sculptures during many visits to the Louvre and other great museums, as well as Michelangelo’s David and his Pieta. My husband and I had a wonderful day and a half to see Naples. We had seen travel shows that encouraged a visit to this chapel, so we made the effort to go there. If you visit the Archaeological Museum, this is a short distance away. Get a good street map, or have someone point you in the right direction!... More

It is a unique chapel which deserves much more attention of visitors and publishers of guidebooks. Its collection of sculptures is fantastic, especially "Christo velato." More
