The coach had blacked out windows, the city was not illuminated until June and we went in May. We saw nothing. The guide promised to stop at the Colisseum and didn't. Dinner was dreary and we were deafened with over-enthusiastic opera. Not a good evening, and an expensive waste of time. More

We booked a tour of the Vatican city which was not fantastic, but we saw what we needed to see. The guides English was not great so it was difficult to understand him. The great surprise was at the end of the tour when the bus driver was supposed to drop us at our hotel. For whatever reason he decided... More

Many thanks for your comments. I am happy to note you saw on the tour all you wanted to see at the Vatican. On average we have between 40 and 60 clients each day on the tour and we tend to use a small pool of official guides. Unfortunately as you have not mentioned the date of travel I am... More

This was our worst experience with a tour company in our lives. Avoid at all costs! We hired Appian Line for the day trip to Pompeii. When we did, we were instructed to wait for the bus at the front door of our hotel at 7 AM. The day of the trip, we stood there from 6.45 AM until 7.30... More

Firstly may I apologise for what turned out to be a failure on our part to have not managed to rectify an initial shortcoming . We use the Hotel mentioned for the pick up as it is easy for the bus to stop on the corner of the hotel meeting point as it is impossible to arrive at your pension... More

Many thanks for your kind comments . I am glad you enjoyed the tours . As you saw for yourself on those days we can carry nearly one hundred passengers per day and it is encouraging for our staff when clients take time in responding to a positive trip . Very kind ofyou . More

Bus was beautiful. Guide on bus lovely. We got a half hour in Orvieto...then taken to a fourth rate factory to "buy" ceramic dishes before we reached Assisi. The tour in Assisi was nice....not enough time to really "visit" anything. We then went to another church outside of Assisi...lovely. Truly....it would have been much nicer to have that extra time... I am happy to note that the guide and the bus were satisfactory . Many people on these tours are on a once in a life time vacation and the local artisan shops give them an opportunity to sample and buy local goods with the knowledge that they are real and the financial transaction is safe . In Assisi and... More

Through our travel company we had 2 tours booked through this company, and there were aspects of both tours which were very disappointing. 1 day pompeii tour started well, hotel pick up, comfortable bus, good tour guides. What was the real disappointment was we paid to see pompeii, yet spent close on an hour and half at lunch, this could... More

Unfortunately it is impossibile to arrange lunch in half an hour at such a busy tourist spot . .A lot of clients from outside Europe are taking a once in a life time vacation and for them it is a good opportunity to sample and buy local artisan goods in the various areas of... We did not care for the tour but it was not because of the tour guides or necessarily the company. We were picked up at our B&B on time and without any problems. The bus left generally on time. Our tour guide on the bus, Sylvia, was very friendly and seemed to care about everyone. She not only spoke Italian,... More

We recently got back from Rome and booked day trips from Rome to Naples/Pompeii, Florence, and Capri. It was very disappointing. We were picked up from our hotel to their office on a smelly car. We have to wait outside the office until an employee, with a sign, walks to the bus assigned for our trip. We stopped at a... More

Firstly many thanks for your feedback . It is a pity that the person who sold you the tours did not point out that the Pompei and Capri tours could be combined in a two day tour without the hassle of returning to Rome and departing again for Naples the next time . I am extremely sorry for this as... More

My mum and I booked the papal audience tour with this company this morning. The tour guide, a female started off well on the bus. However, when she brought us to a store once we reached vatican. We are very sorry that the impression given was unorganized . A special effort is made to arrive early at the venue so you can choose good seats . The tour took place on 8 april 2012. We were at the exact time (7:15) as told, but eventually we started the trip more than hour late because they were waiting for 2 people. At Naples, we were taken to some very touristic shop and we got out right away. The trip in Pompeii was pretty good. At the way... More
