We cruised with Norweigen Epic and docked at Civitavecchia. If you took the Rome on Your Own ship excursion, it would cost you at least $99. This covers nothing but just the transportation. I read a lot of articles about going to Rome via local train service from Civitavecchia. So I decided to venture on our own. It takes 3... More

Hop on/Hop off makes it easy to hit all the spots -- Rome is a very large old city -- and it literally would take hours to get around by foot. Make life easier and see more city by taking the hop on/hop off busses. It's worth it. More

I found these buses the easist to see the city and the attractions of Rome. The Rome Pass was much more difficult to manage and was a waste of my dollers. If you don't want to think too hard this is the way to go. More

don't be miss led by the name "Roma Cristiana". The buses are old, I cannot say the service is poor because there is no service. It took me 30 minutes to buy 2 tickets and get my change. I should have walked away because it only got worse. Hop on Hop off buses are a great way of seeing the... More

This is the best way to orientate yourself with the city. Do a whole loop to see the major sites and then jump off when ready. These are many available & good value. More

Unfortunately we didn't have much time in Rome but this tour showed us most of the famous sites. We thought there should have been more stops though. As it turned out now you had to walk very far between the different sites to get on the bus again. More

Arrived in Rome yesterday for our first visit to this great city. Wife and I thought we would purchase passes for one of the double-decker bus tours to get our bearings of where we were. We have had success in other cities with this practice. We purchased a 48 hour ticket for 20 Euro each on the 110Open (red) bus.... More

I took my mother on the Archeo bus and the 110 Open bus last week. We had a great time. My mother doesn't walk very well so this was a fun way to tour around the city. I found the personnel to be very kind. Especially the man at Termini who made a special effort to help my mother onto... More

At 21 euro each I found this a rip off considering the service given. The guide/host, the want for a better word, was rude and very abrupt. We were not given a brochure, map or earphones after purchasing our 3 tickets. The commentary was completely out of sync and very short. The circuit was made extremely boring as at each... More

Ok this is just one couples experience over a two day period. This was simply a terrible experience. If you just want to be driven around for two hours maybe it would be fine. BUT,don't use it for a hop on hop off! Most of the audio didn't work, there is no announcement of the next stop, there are no... More
