we book the Illuminated tour (Rome at Night) of Rome with Green Line tours. Picked up from the hotel at 7.15 and transferred to the main depot. All fine to this point. Walked about 5 mins thowhere the bus was. at this point I was disappointed as it was not the open top bus I had been lead to believe... More

The arranged pick up from the hotel did'nt arrive so we had to bear the cost of a taxi to their depot. Apparently this happened to another lady on the same tour. On entering the office, a full scale argument was in process between a unhappy customer and a member of staff, who was demanding a refund - should have... More

Did the vatican tour at break neck speed, leaving old and slow people behind. Tour guide didn't seem too concerned about this as she was on a strict timetable as we had to leave in time to get to probably the most expensive gift shop in Italy owned by or in partnership with Green Line Tours. If you go on... More

I decided to take the green line tour of the Vatican museums and Sistine Chapel. I took the afternoon tour. I'm not sure why I decided to do a group tour, maybe it was to escape the lines, or because I'm lazy. The tour was supposed to pick me up at the hotel at 2 pm. Ok, it's 2:20, they... More

Lets you hop on and off at your own pace. Great way to get around, though we did miss the last bus and had to take a taxi back to the hotel...that's on us though. More

Just another option. Nothing special. Bus stops and no directions given. Good to get places but take the map. They won't go out of there way to make your experience enjoyable More

We went on a tour of the Vatican. When we entered the Sistine Chapel. It was packed nearly shoulder to shoulder. I couldn't even see our guide. It wasn't his fault it was crowded but he should have told us a meeting place when leaving. There were 56 in our group. (too many) Most guides hold up something high so... More

This tour is very disappointing. The buses are dirty and the sound commentary basic - if your headset works. We were informed that the service ran until 8pm - however this is misleading. Our bus stopped at the Central terminus as the last bus had left there at 6.30. When we queried this - the driver and hostess were rude... More

I have never posted a negative review on tripadvisor before but felt compelled to do so after my recent hop on/off GLT tour of Rome. We bought our tickets on a Sunday and were assured by the rep the bus came every 15 minutes. After 35 minutes the first bus arrived at the stop (after 1-2 buses for all other... More
