A short taxi ride brings you to the very interesting Catacomb of San Sebastiano. Tickets to the Catacombe cost €8 and included the guide through English. Our guide (who has been guiding these tours for 25 years)had a wealth of information about the Catacombe and the above church. The tour lasted approximately 30 minutes. Travelling to the Catacombe can be... More

It takes an infrequent bus or a taxi to access San Sebastiano but if you have the time it is a good visit outside of the walls of Rome. The tours are given in many languages although you will have to wait a few minutes for your tour guide. The catacombs portion of the tour took 40 - 50 minutes... More

20 minute cab ride for a 25 minute tour. The tour guide was boring. Maybe other catacombs are better? We were told we could catch a cab for the return trip to Rome. Completely false information, no cabs are available. Ended up taking the bus to a small town and then a cab back into Rome. More

It's a beautiful bus ride to the catacombs. Not an expensive tour but it's amazing. The displays are informative and the guides are very good. Only complaint, need more time in the catacombs. we took cheese, salami and bread and had a picnic on the church grounds before returning on the bus. More

I visited the catacombs in the afternoon of a sunny day. The guide was superb and inside it was so interesting! You could breath ancient air! More

We were probably lucky and got a guided tour 2 minutes after we arrived, so did not have to wait. The guide was good, he was knowledgeable and knew what he was talking about. However, he ran out of time and the last 5 minutes he spoke so fast that a lot of us had problems understanding what he was... More

One of Rome's most fascinating catacombs. Avoid tourist rush hours, go early in the morning or one hour before they close so that you'll enjoy the silence. More

maybe it was the wait. The first time I went to Rome I wanted to go to the catacombs and did not have time. So, this time, I had about 5 hours between connection flights and I decided to go. It is very interesting and definitely worth the visit. But still there was something missing for me, More

The catacombes were almost scary but also very spiritual and moving. Anyone who respects the deceased should visit this humbling place. More

This is the Catacombe not to miss. The name Catacombe come from greek Near (kata) the cave (kumbas, low) as there was in San Sebastiano a turf cave. 20 hectares were donated to the christian community and were used to bury 500000 body. As San Paolo and San Pietro relics were translated here, this became the first place of Christian... More
