Bypass the long lines and most importantly, learn about the history of the church, all the Popes, Michaelangelo and see the magnificent pieces of art, religious artifacts. You could really spend a week but give it at least a full day and always look up in Italy or you will miss the best things. More

I was not so lucky to have enough time to spend there but if you have it ... take your time and visit the museum, the Sixteen chapel and of course the San Pietro church (basilica). You will never regret. More
