We really regret going to this museum! Was a waste of time plus the cashier used our free admission of our Roma pass without even asking if we're OK with that! On top of that only one section of the museum was open, when we asked if we could visit the other sections the security lady was very rude and... More

It was our last morning and pouring hard with rain so went in for lunch. The entrance is free and the terrace cafe is on the 2nd floor. It's worth climbing the stairs to have lunch with a wonderful roof top view of Rome. Prices are reasonable. Just sorry that we didn't have time to look around the museum. More

The museum itself is an outstanding building, the contents i, personally did not find that good but if you go and are not scared of heights you will be rewarded if you take the lift with a 360 degree view of the whole of Rome, you can not see the end and gives you a true perspective of the magnitude... most of it was closed and the special exhibit was separate entry fee. There are many other museums worth your time and money More

We bought tickets for the Caravaggio (April 2011) exhibit though were warned that the information was all in Italian. What they didn't say is that there are no paintings! Four small rooms, a few posters, mockup of Caravaggio's studio, and across the hall a guard VERY reluctantly let us in to watch a video about restoration and some technical things.... More

This museum has the greatest collection of ancient Roman art including a lot of emperors statues. If you like Roman art then this is the place for you. They even had a copy of the Greek Discus Thrower which was a nice treat. More

Unfortunately, we can't review the Museo Nazionale di Palazzo di Venezia because.... when we visited in November, we were sold tickets to a special exhibit and were not permitted into the permanent collection on the same ticket. We were not told that there were two entrance tickets, nor is that information posted outside or at the ticket counter, nor were... More
