We toured the Synagogue and museum in the charming Jewish quarter; found it very informative. Our guide highlighted some of the items in the museum for us -- at first we had found the very wordy signs to the items displayed difficult but after the tour, were more eager to read all the details. I think most of the people... More

Taking a walk through the Ghetto was a highlight for me -- interesting sites both ancient and relatively modern in a charming neighborhood. More

Our guides were extremely well informed & personable. They walked us through a museum, synagogue, old/current Jewish neighborhood, highlighting kosher restaurants, shops and schools. The tour included information on how the Italian Jews were treated during WWII and the Holocaust. Terrific tour for people of all faiths. More

The Jewish Ghetto is an excellent location to explore all the treasures of Rome. It is right next to the beautiful ruins of Area Sacra Argentina and within 5 minutes walk to the Campidoglio, the Forum, the Pantheon, Campo de Fiori, and yet 10 minute walk to Trastevere – to Villa Farnesina and other marvels. Naturally, the Synagogue is right... More

My husband and I toured the Jewish Ghetto in Rome with Michaela Pavoncello and it was the best time that we had in Rome. Michaela is very well informed and makes the history of the ghetto come alive. The tour is very detail oriented but not boring at all. We really felt like we got a good historical background for... More

I took Micaela's tour of the Jewish Ghetto in Rome last week and it was an excellent investment. She is so knowledgable, personable and energetic. I learned so much from her. I have a Jewish step sister who lives in Rome but I never knew the things I learned from Miceala. She relates personal stories combined with historical facts and... More

We had a wonderful, fun and educational experience walking through the Jewish Ghetto, the Great Synagogue and the Jewish Museum with Micaela Pavoncello. We saw a part of Rome that we would have missed had we stayed with the hop on, hop off bus routes, and it was Mika's knowledge, energy and obvious love of her heritage and community that... More
