A magical place full of ruins. The ticket for Coloseum is valid as well here an it gives you very nice view of the town and idea of the antient Rome. Aldo the best veiw is from circo maximo and worth to make this short walk around this place. More

Located a short walk from colloseum this is as the name says on a hill. From here you can view ruins of times past. The garden here are wonderful and this park like setting gets you out of a hustle and bustle. Entrance is included in colloseum fee or you can purchase separate. Great to take photos overlooking Rome More

The guidebooks say these are the must sees on this site but when we reached them they were both closed up with tiny signs saying the last entrance was at 1.30 p.m. Not helpful or publicised - unfortunately poorly managed as are many major sites in Rome. Other than that not a great deal of note but pleasant surroundings. More

Views of the Colosseum from here are a must & it is all so green with gardens, trees etc, not what I expected at all. Do go it is worth it with the combined ticket for the three attractions. More

Please take one of the tours when you go to Palatine Hill. You need to hear a detailed explanation of the scale and history to truly appreciate what life must have been like for those who lived in this palace. More

Well, after walking through the Forum, we spent another 30 minutes or so walking up (and down) the Palatine hill. While it IS a lovely walk, there's almost nothing exciting to see, other than passing by the arch of Titus. If you went through the Forum, feel free to skip this hill. More
