We took the 2 day tour from Rome to Pompei, Sorrento and Capri. Pompei was hot and dusty and we were there longer than I liked, but, we walked over to a cafe and relaxed and it was fine! Sorrento and Capri was perfect. Transporation was great, hotel was incredible...I mean really incredible, and Capri was delightful. Our tour guide... More

Don't take this tour. Most of our time was taken with rearranging people. We could not see much as the lights in the bus were too bright. We could not understand our guide as her accent was too strong. The worst part was that we were dropped off "near our hotel" instead of at our hotel. We had been in... More

Carrani Tours were recommended to us by our hotel. We did three tours...The Vatican/Colosseum/Catacombs. The Colosseum tour was good once they had sorted all the groups out. Unfortunately because it had taken so long to organise everyone it had taken up the time that had be allocated for Palatine Museum & Roman Forum so we were rushed round there to... More

Thank you for your review! Carrani tours has been in the business of touring Rome for 85 years and it is one of 3 or 4 major tour companies in Rome. All companies operate with the same procedure and the timing in Rome is a huge problem, you realized the traffic and the crowds and how easy is to be... More

I booked one of the other companies that I had used before on a prior trip to Italy. Unfortunately they cancelled because of a lack of passnegers for the time period I had to travel. So I reluctantly book Carrani tours, the Fantasia.......... What a rip off! Virtually nothing is included in their tours! Options like a side trip to... More

Dear Sir, really sorry about your experience. In reference to the included items, usually it is very clear from the beginning at time of booking what is included and what is not included. We usually leave the Pisa tour and the Florence museums entrance optional to be purchased on spot and this is very clear in every description. Sometimes if... More

These guys simply could not care less once they have your money. We were guaranteed a group of no more than 25. On the day, they decided to save money and put 2 grps together. Try getting anything out of a tour with 50 people! When we objected they got rude and dismissive. On top of that the guide took... More

Hi Bob sorry about your disappointment. Our daily group tours are never guaranteed to be a maximum of 25 passengers, the groups can reach up to 45 persons. I would like to know where did you get the information from about the maximum of 25, so I could give you a better answer. Thank you for using our services. More

This tour was a full day tour starting from pickup time of 6.30 am. Firstly they were late which made me have to sit around the hotel reception at such an early time of the morning when I could have been sleeping later. When they did arrive there was a lot of hassle getting everybody organised for the tour. At... More

Sorry for the disappointment, I wish I knew the date so I could give you a better answer. The visit to Naples is usually a couple of hours and perhaps in addition to the rain there might have been high traffic conditions or something else happening. The tour companies you saw walking outside might have been local tour companies showing... More

We had 2 tours with Carrani Tours. The 1st tour was to Florence. We had a pick up time for 6:30 AM. My travelmates and I were waiting in the hotel lobby since 6:15 AM. 6:30 came and gone and no one came. It was the guy working at the front desk that called Carrani at around 6:50 to find... More

Thank you for your review. I see various ups and downs about the experience. I am glad that at the end you fully enjoyed Florence and Pompei as they are the most important sights to visit. Naples is a little problematic because of the traffic, some days are better than the others. Sorry. I trust that you are left mostly... More

Carrani Tours was the tour company recommended by our excellent hotel, the Artemide Hotel. This was a good sign because the hotel has high standards for both itself and the tour company they recommended. We were not disappointed. We took a number of Carrani tours and each one of them was enjoyable and informative. We took a day trip to... More

Thank you so much for the review! I am glad that you had a good time and all worked out well. In reference to Naples, that is object of some complaints, perhaps in the future we will decide to eliminate and go straight to Pompei. Thanks again for the feedback! More

Man alive. I took two small boys to Europe to see the big civilisational changes in history. Big small boy was pinning huge hopes on the Roman Forum. We'd been there for three days, putting off the big stuff for our tour. We did a Vatican City tour (awesome, purely because the tour guide was knowledgeable) and a Forum Tour.... More
