My girlfriend and I took the 1 day trip from Rome to Capri back in early May of 2009. There was nothing wrong at all with Carrani Tours. We had a great time with Carrani Tours. I personally loved my tour guide. I don't remember her name but I do remember that she was about to get married soon. She... more

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY Awful trip. Paid 120 Euros for 2 people to tour the Colosseum and Forum. What a waste of money. The tour company are abysmal. Badly organised, we sat on a bus with no air con for 50 minutes whilst waiting for 2 lost Germans. The staff head counted us around 50 times before we... more

Sorry for the bad experience, as you mentioned there were 2 persons lost and this is the reason probably for the delay. Our tours have gone under a new reorganization, we have been working on correcting problems and we strive to offer outstanding service.

We were booked on these tours by our travel agent in Sydney (Aust) who in turn had booked through a travel wholesaler. So we were more than a bit dubious after reading some of the previous bad reviews. However, we were pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed the Vatican Museums tour which we did yesterday. Our tour group was... more

We took the Ancient Rome and Colosseum Tour. Our tour guide did the bare minimum to be able to say she had given a tour. We found ourselves evesdropping on tour guides from other companies -- who were very interesting. You do get to skip the entry lines, but you spend that much time waiting on a diesel bus to... more

I will spare the readers all the details of our tour. The main points to consider: a. The tour is given in several languages SIMULTANEOUSLY. That means you hear a short (broken) English desciption of a site and then wait 10 minutes until the other languages are through. Extremely slow and annoying. Also, the two guides talk to each other... more

The tour was better than expected, and a great value. It allowed my husband and I to see lots of fabulous places in a short period of time. The coach bus was very roomy and comfortable. We chose the 4 star options and the hotels (Hotel Raffaello in Florence and Hotel Continental in Venice) were very nice. The tour guide... more

I took a bus tour with this company to Florence. The bus itself was okay, the tour guide poor. The second guide who walked us through the museum with the David either spoke so softy or the ear phones were of such poor quality most of us in the group could not hear him. We had lunch at an awful... more

After having reserved a tour of the Villa d'Este and Hadrian's Villa in Tivoli with Vastours in late January 2009, I found that morning that Vastours had cancelled the tour without notification. The concierge at my hotel found that Carrani was still offering the tour. I have the highest regard for the tour guide, who shared his expert knowledge of... more

We had a 4 hours tour of the Vatican with the help of a guide name Rita. She spoke very good English and was funny and nice. We did skip all lines and didn,t wait at all. The guidance was clear and nice, she answered all the questions. We visited the Sistina and the Basilica of St. Pietro. more

We had booked two tours with Carrani, one a walking tour and the other Rome by Night Bus tour. We were picked up from the hotel and taken to the meeting point in a small bus. We were then transferred to a larger bus where we sat for nearly an HOUR waiting for the guides to get themselves organised. We... more
