This museum is just a treasure. I saw it in 1978 and was dazzled by it then. I had the pleasure of revisiting it in 2006 and it was just as wonderful. After 68 days through almost all of Europe, with many, many churches, museums, buildings - this by far was my favorite museum/gallery. The stone work looks like the people were frozen in time. Make a reservation and go. more

Certainly one of the must sees in Rome. In January 2008 we were extremely fortunate to see an extended Canova exhibitiion with works from Firenze, Met in NY, Leeds etc. The Berninis are breathtaking. As many of the other posts have indicated this is a piece of Rome not to be missed, the building is wonderful and the art is outstanding. For periods during the next eight years they are featuring specific artists.
