My wife and I decided to opt for the Colosseum and Ancient City Walk after reading some favourable reviews here, and we weren't disappointed. Our tour guide was Julia, and we were fortunate that we were the only ones on the tour. We thoroughly enjoyed our three hours and were far more knowledgeable on the history of Rome by the... more

I contacted Jason Spiehler's new company and made arrangements for two tours: Ancient Rome and Vatican Museums. Both were excellent. Jason can't be stumped by any question you could possibly ask. His commentary gives excellent background for viewing the City's treasures, and are entertaining into the bargain. I'd definitely use his services again. He got us past/through incredible lineups at... more

In August 2009 we booked a Vatican tour with Rome Walks. We had booked a group tour, but it ended up being just the 3 of us, which was great. It was more of a private tour. Our tour guide, Julia, was fantastic. She has an extensive knowledge of art history, and made the tour entertaining while providing us with... more

Rome Walks, 4 hour Vatican and St. Peter's Tour. Guide: Julia. Great tour program to see and understand Vatican City, history, Catholic Church history and of course the intersection of art and church history. Julia, our guide, was an art history major (Italian Art, we believe) so it made the journey all the better. Quick to get inside the Vatican... more

We spent 3 days in Rome the end of June 2009. We decided to just walk around and view the sites without a tour guide to get acquainted. We stayed at Hotel Caesar just a block away from the Colosseum. We were given a city map and off we went. We saw more and said WOW! so many times just... more

We (5 women in our 50's) just returned from a trip to Italy. One of the highlights was an Ancient City Tour (Palatine Hill, the Forum and Coliseum) with Justin from RomeWalks. Justin's descriptions were entertaining and provided an amazing visual that will stick with us for a long time to come. This tour was definitely one of the highlights... more

We just returned from Rome and used Romewalks for a tour of the Coliseum, Forum and Palatine Hill. I would highly recommend them. Booking the tour was easy and they promptly answered all my e-mails. Julia was our tour guide. Besides being extremely knowledgeable, she has a sense of humor that makes history fun. The tour group was very small... more

With only 3 days to see the wonders of Rome we decided to go for 2 organised walks incorporating a knowledgeable tour guide. Our choice finally fell on 'Rome Walks' and in the event it proved to be an excellent one. They certainly lived up to their web-site promises. We were very pleased indeed with the instant response to our... more

We just completed 3 walking tours with Rome Walks, including Twilight Rome, Vatican, and Colosseum/Forum. Greg was our guide for each tour, and he was excellent. We learned so much about Rome's history, art, architecture, and religion, among other things. Greg certainly came across as an expert, and he talked at length about every building, interesting artifact, piece of art,... more

We were in Rome, Italy November 18-21 and used Rome Walks for 4 guided tours. We especially loved Julia for her knowledge and passion for history and archeology. She made the tours fun and entertaining, while being very informative. We were pleased with the size of the groups, which ranged from 4 to 12 people. We would highly recommend Rome... more
