trip to lake como and san moritz very disappointing. the bus to como was so packed persons fainted it was disgraceful.no footpaths worth talking about for walking.italians may not walk much.it was all about boat trips.nothing to do at night hotels put on no music to keep people together.

What a stunning place to visit. The ferries were great to use to explore the villages on the shores of the lakes which were all fascinating. The villas and the gardens were beautiful. All the meals we had whether it was pizza or divine pasta, were just delicious and stood out from other Italian places we visited.

I just wanted to take the time to write about a lesser known part of Lake Como. If you have a bit more time and you would like to see a part of Lake Como, less trodden, I recommend a trip to Gravedona. With a bit of logistic wrangling you could get there by ferry or bus or a combination!...

My son got married here on Sept 2011 it was a beautiful location, we had a lovely modern 3 bed apartment overlooking the lake,right where the ferrys came in. Don't think they were quite ready for 50 wedding guests to enjoy themselves though think they thought us loud,. The bar overlooking the harbour made us all very welcome though night...
