The natural history museum held a wide collection of pretty much everything that one could think when it's about nature and evolution. The period we visited Milano, the hall No3 was closed and messed up the visitor's guide. Good especially for someone with children in prelimenary/elementary school

Big city museum dedicated to the origing the life in the Earth. Picturesque halls, very interesting exposition. Animals from all over the world. Assume to spent at least 1,5-2 hours. Free of admission fee after 16-30. Surrounded with a city park with established playgrounds for child. 5 mins by step from San Babila metro station just in the Corsa Venezia.

Grand palace to house the museum. The exhibits themselves were very interesting, well-organized. You need several hours to see the whole thing. It is not the Smithsonian, so don't look for multiple complete dinosaur skeletons (although there are a couple!) and vast dioramas.
