Dont listen to the grumpy reviews here! This is an Italian gem, cared for by the equivalent of the NT in the UK (free if you are a NT member). It is a classic example of modernist architecture, built in the heady days on the late 1920s by a family where money was no object. Its design and finish is...

A must visit for all interior, design and architecture interested. Quint-essentially milanese.

We are extremely unlucky that we had to join the mandatory guided tour while we are the only family that speak English and the rest are Italian. The lady tour guide talked to us briefly before the tour started (and she has perfect English) that she had to conduct tour in Italian and we were not allowed to break from...

Wonderful afternoon touring the villa (they arranged a special English guide for us). The villa itself is beautiful and the stories behind it fascinating. The vision seen in the architecture (which still remains modern today) is astounding! Definitely worth the price of admission.

The visit to the gardens of this Villa are well worth the money. Go through the park, discover all the flowers and trees and head to the restaurant hosted inside a glass veranda where you can dine looking at the sky above you.
The food is chic and of course not cheap, but everything is delicious and top quality. Menu...

The villa gives an idea of the privileged life of some Italians, and the best rooms reflect the prevailing design style of the 1930s. Entry is free if you are a National Trust member, and a guided tour is required. If you don't speak Italian, you'll be given an audio guide and encouraged to keep up with the main tour....

Visits must be booked in advance. The Villa belonged to a family which made sewing machines but squandered its fortunes after the war and donated the house to the FAI fondo ambiente italiano a non profit org which protects art and architecture. The visit to the Villa will take two hours but you will be left absolutely speechless if you...

Even if you haven't seen "I Am Love," this stunning modernist mansion will captivate you. If you are indeed a fan of the film, however, you will be particularly thrilled, since the interior will be as recognizable as the exterior. There's nothing like retracing the steps of Tilda Swinton! :) The tours are conducted in Italian, but the English audio...
