This is one of the world's most famous paintings by one of the world's most fainting painters, Leonardo da Vinci. You must go by tour or advance reservation. They allow you in the room where the painting is for about 15 minutes. Only 25 people are allowed in at one time. This is adequate to see the masterpiece. The story... More

It's hard to summarize the emotional impact of such a painting. Although it has lost a lot of the original beauty and some parts are barely discernible, it's shockingly beautiful. You can admire it for just 15 minutes and in groups of 25. Luckily we visited it with a guided tour and this helped us to appreciate all the details... More

Those 15 minutes seem like no time at all. From behind of the room, the perspective is fabulous, It seems you are watching it happening. Only if the guards made some young visitors shut their mouths, it would have been much nicer... More

This is a glowing and glorious masterpiece. Book well ahead as it is the most popular place in Milan, but as numbers are limited you will not feel crowded. More

How can you leave Milan without seeing this! do not bother turning up without a ticket, even if the tour guides have them spare they will not sell you one....at any cost, so book early and enjoy a piece of art history. More

Ok, I was niave to turn up like a tourist wanting to see a famous work of art. A stupid concept, clearly by the reaction of the guy behind the desk. he told me to come back at 5 pm. I did and another guy said to go away and telephone to book for a visit in 2 weeks. Telephone... More

The need to book very early in advance is well worth it. You get only 15 minutes to view the painting in groups of 25/30. Very well presented and we had a guide which was well worth the effort. Beautiful setting to see such an awe inspiring piece if history. More
