In the middle of the piazza you’ll find the equestrian statue of Emanuele Filiberto (known to all as “El Caval èd brons”), sculpted by Carlo Marocchetti in 1838. The porticoed buildings surrounding the piazza give space to numerous bars, cafes, and restaurants. « less

a very good example of a urban XVIIth royal European square at its best: wonderful proportion and scenic sense for great and spectacular views (the alps, the two twin churches, the Royal palace, the matching buildings of equal and well proportioned height. a great place to wander and enjoying Turin at its best. It is a good 5 minutes walk from the main train station. The square is huge and it is only for pedestrian walking. It is also located in the main shopping streets and there were some restaurants around for a drink in the open air. Enjoy! More

All these attractions are within walking distance of each other, the Egyptian museum is just around the corner. The gallerias are stone covered with beautiful arches and many display windows of classy clothes plus enjoyable Italian bars. More

Classic Baroc (Piemontese). Nice bars (a bit expensive) where to stay for a while and watch around. Nice shops under the Arcades. EZ to park underneath the square. Pedestrian area!! Visit the 2x churches at Via Roma's corner. More

So awesome as a spot to photograph, stroll, relax at a cafe. We were there on a cold rainy, snowy weekend in January but still so enjoyed walking here. Covered if needed around the outside of the square, shopping, cafes. Make sure to visit when you are in Turin. More
