Being a novice first time skier i loved the slopes. There are so many blue runs, and one that runs all the way into the village. There were a lot of experienced skiers in the hotel and they were raving about the red and black slopes. The one amazing thing is that you can ski into Switzerland and come back... More

I wasn't sure what to expect when going to Cervinia. My Lonely Planet Italy guide informed me that it was one of the ugliest ski resorts in Italy due to cinderblock buildings. The resort may not be the best looking, but the slopes are breathtaking. Being a novice skier, the plethora of blue and red trails was wonderful to see.... More

Cervinia has a large ski area and it is linked to a nearby village (Valtournenche) and also to Zermatt in Switzeland. The only thing that Cervinia lacks for me are some great black runs and bumps. The links coming back from Zermatt are not great and it is currently a long T-bar or a possible lengthy queue for a cable car.... This is the perfect Ski Area for Beginner-Intermediates. Beginners stay in Cervinia/Valtourneche and Intermediates ski both sides (also Zermatt). The slopes are looong and wide and a reel ego boost for us intermediates. It might be europes highes area and therefor also very sensitive to the wind, do not go in dec-jan, it could be closed your entire week.... Ideal... More

We tend to go to Cervinia at the start and end of the ski season, as the elevation is much higher than our regular resort, Megeve. This extends our skiing season by about 4 weeks and makes a perfect start and finish to the winter. The pistes at Cervinia are amazing. Wide, open, with many different runs for all levels.... More

Fantastic skiing on really easy, wide, long runs. International pass to Zermatt useful but not necessarily needed - unfortunately it is easier to get into Zermatt than it is to get back into Cervinia which puts you off a bit. Weather can be a bit extreme which I guess is the price you pay for going to a really high... More

absolutely loads of slopes to chose from for all grades of skiier. Definately uograde your lift pass so if the weather is bad in Cervinia you can go over to Zermatt. More

Lot of rooms in the slopes. Snow can get to wet from the sun. Nice places to have bombardini in. If you are an advanced skier, try Zermatt slopes instead. More

I have skied in alot of different places, from the French Alps to Colorado or Utah. Breuil and Zermatt are by far the best, the highest vertical drop, the widest variety and incredible scenery!! More

No dislikes! Excellent and varied ski area, 3 areas to ski, most skiing above 6,000 ft so snow sure and good until end of March.Nice quiet town with excellent food. Check out restaurant 'Jour et Nuit' run by local ski instructor Luca, food to die for!! More
