I love the shops here! All the local specialties can be found. On Saturdays, the market is fantastic. The tents are open from sun up until sundown and they have everything from crafts to produce to wonderful risoto and local honey. The clothing market is nice too but I'm a sucker for the food. A lot of space and attention for old and counterfeit money as well as sculptures. It takes you only approx 30 minutes. More

As others have mentioned, the frescoes show much more than just more religious images. Life of the people, astrological signs, and more. And the giant wodden horse too! This two storey building has so much history and beauty within, the lower level of the building contains food stalls and the upper floor contains the amazing frescoes. While the Giotto frescoes in the Scrovegni Chapel (deservedly) get most of the attention from tourists, the Palazzo della Ragione contains a remarkable set of frescoes, planned initially by Giotto, but redone by other hands after the initial set were destroyed in a fire.
