These frescoes receive little attention compared to the superstar attraction of the Arena travel but are really worth visiting. More

Do take time to visit this delightful room. There are chairs on either side of it so that you can sit and admire to your heart's content the wonderful paintings on the walls and ceiling. Definitely worth E2.80 (April 2012 price). More

Next to the Duomo on the other side of town from the Basilica of S. Anthony. But worth the walk to see the wonderful frescoes. More

A superb set of frescoes. Quite cheap compared to the arena (Scrovegni) chapel, which is a similar attraction. Plus you don't have to book in advance, and can stay inside for as long as you want. Which we did, as we were trying to work out what each painted scene represented. Quite a marking attraction, definitely worth a visit. More

Intriguing and beautiful, but if pressed for time be sure you see the Scrovegni first--and don't forget to reserve ahead. Our teen daughter found the Scrovegni "lovely" but the baptistry "meh." My wife and I liked it though especially as a clear predeccessor of the Chapel, and were glad we went. Allow 20 minutes to half and hour More

The baptistry was covered with beautiful, dizzying, frescos! For 1euro they have a machine that will tell u it's history in four languages...so worth it if your a lone traveler desperate to hear English. It speaks quickly though so pay attention to the screen! Right afterwards I entered the church it is attached to and cleansed my visual palette with... More

I had not heard of the Baptistry until it was highly recommended to us by a local in Venice, and we are so glad that we visited. The building from the outside is rather plain but the interior is spectacular, the beautiful frescoes and the serenity will stay with me. At the time of our visit in November we had... More
