Yes - book ahead and arrive early. Yes - you spend 1/2 of your 30 minutes watching a movie - but it was interesting. Yes - you only get 15 minutes in the chapel and that is not long enough. But - the religious interpretations are unique and worth the time and money. An advantage of the small groups is... More

This chapel is an absolute jewel. We are so grateful to those on this forum who said how important it is to book ahead of time and to plan carefully not to be late. We booked just the day before our visit, and slots were available. It's a shame there are only fifteen minutes in the chapel itself but, as... More

We took a side trip from Venice, specifically to see this Chapel. It was very interesting, but they only let you stay for a few minutes. The artwork tells the story of Christ's and Mary's lives in a very interesting way, and the efforts to preserve it are paying off. But I'm not sure it was worth the effort to... More

15 min upfront video provides excellent information on the history of the chapel,... listening in on a guided tour ;)) also let's you see things you obviously wouldn't have seen ... Tip: a small binoculars to see the details up close (thinking of getting them myself) More

Whilst it is invidious to compare the two the truth is that the Sistine Chapel felt like a cattle market, whilst the small group visits to the Scrovegni Chapel make the whole experience so much better. Tip - go an hour early and vist the adjacent gallery where you can get even closer to a couple of Giotto's and several... More

Don't miss this gem - book in advance and do not be late for your slot - you won't be allowed in as you have to "acclimatise" for 15 minutes before entering the chapel. More

Not to be missed in Padova. You are only allowed 15 minutes & a reservation is usually necessary. More

This was an amazing exhibit. You only have 15 minutes to view the frescoes, so know what you're looking at before you go to get the full impact. It's amazing to be looking at 700 year old art. We went from Venice and found it to be an easy commute, but we did get lost in Padova, so try to... More
