We were fortunate enough to have attended the salon-style performance of Rigoletto at Musica a Palazzo this past visit to Venice. Outstanding talent, fabulous musicians and a very creative concept. Whether you enjoy opera or not, you are captivated from the start and held throughout the entire performance. Bravo! A highlight of our trip. More

We visited the Duets performance, which was very good (although I would have chosen a slightly different repertoire). You should lower your expectations as to the venue. The palazzo, while authentic, is in quite a bad shape, so by no means a luxury venue. It is a fine example of Venice's "glorious decay", but perhaps a little bit more decayed... More

Beautiful, intimate surroundings with audiences of about 60. For La Traviata we moved to a different room for each act, giving a special atmosphere to each element. The cast were only 4 strong and 4 more played the music. The tenor was also spotted on the vaparetto on the way home! The location can be a bit difficult to find,... More

We loved standing in St. Mark's Square and listening to the beautiful music that was played for several hours each evening. More

We saw two performances by Musica a Palazzo on our trip to Venice recently and couldn't recommend them highly enough. The performances were powerful engaging and unusually intimate due to the palace setting. The palace surroundings were aptly grand, the singers and musicians were excellent and a good time was had by all! More

I'm not a big opera fan but this is Venice, it's a 12th century palace and it's La Traviata for an audience of just 50! The performances were great and Violetta literally died at our feet! This was the highlight of our trip to Italy and we walked back to our hotel after the performance along the edge of the... More

If what they mean is the music in San Marco's square, It snagged and held me every time. I loved it! Three bands took turns playing. More
