The Jewish neighborhood is quite large and different from the rest of Venice, the bridges are bigger, the streets are wider, there are far fewer canals. If you come on Saturday you get to see the life of the Jewish community, with little children playing in the streets. It's a quiet part of the city, there are not many tourists....

Read up on the history of it, looked really interesting! In all, it's probably the most boring part of venice! Very tall, boring buildings. Almost like the council estate of venice - if there were such a thing! It was dead too. But we went at new years so probably more busy in summer.
