We went on a boat trip which included the Murano glass gallery, There was a demonstration where we watched a guy make a few pieces just fantastic then we had a 15 minutes to walk around and look at all the glass objects for sale.

Purchased October 2000, a Murano glass layered stand weighing approximately 100 lbs. The stand was shipped to Florida keys. The stand had been moved four times over the years (same room) when it came apart December 2011. .Glass layer seperated at 7th level and need special glue to fuse/bond section of glass layers together.

Our hotel had a taxi take us over to the factory for free. They showed us how the glass was made we also looked at all the glass for sale. We ended up buying a vase. the staff was very nice and helpful.
