Palazzo Grassi is a private modern art museum only open when an exhibition is on. We were lucky and the work of Urs Fisher was being shown. While we were intrigued by Fisher's often irreverant work (and saucy visitor-inclusive art installations), we were most delighted to see inside the stunningly renovated and repurposed old palazzo. It is truly breathtaking, as...

I am a huge Jeffrey Koon fan so I was happy to see several of exhibitions displayed here. Most of the work is neo-pop or post-pop. Great location, well thought of space so hats off to the curator of the museum.

I heard so much about Palazzo Grassi so I decided to take a friend of mine who was over from Dubai visiting for a couple of days.
The Palazzo itself has been beautifully restored and I was more interested in the frescoes on the ceilings than the art that was on the walls. The majority of the art exhibited was...

if you are into conceptual art, that's fine, but I've appreciated 30% of the pieces there, not too bad after all!!

Not as good as Punte Della Dogana, but still a good collection of contemporary art - nice building too, lots of stairs to climb! Pinhault has bought well - both collections across the two locations show a good eye for collecting current contemporary work. Well curated. Great restaurant that I'd recommend visiting if you are in the vicinity - about...

Beautiful setting for a great modern art show, "The World Belongs to You." Featured artists included Takashi Murakami, Jeff Koons, Rudolf Stingel, and Joana Vasconcelos. Highly recommend!

I only object with such a high entrance price of Euro. 15.00, almost doubled other museums in the area. Does he need that money after earning so much from LVMH and...

Went to Palazzo Grassi as part of the Mappnig the Studio Exhibition. I thought it was an amazing space and well worth a visit if you are in Venice. If you have time you should also go to Punta della Dogana gallery which is owned by the same person (François Pinault ).

We had high expectations of this Museum of Modern Art having seen their external exhibit as we travelled up the Grand Canal. Unfortuntely on entering it quickly became apparent that it would not live upto expectations. The staff are exteremely surly and security guards follow you around as if you are a criminal.
A complete contrast to Peggy Guggenheim's Museum...
