I was there on a Sunday in Sept., 2006 and it was packed. Be prepared for that. Great views of the Grand Canal. Lots of souvenier buying stands/shops. The actual bridge is much bigger than I expected. I bought a couple oil paintings from the local stands there for affordable prices as souveniers. I'd say more of a tourist site... more
