Some parts of the citadel are charming, but other parts have had too much modern detail added over the years and it just feels very false in parts. I found it more interesting looking at it from the marina.

hotel pedralladda was excellent. service first class but not intrusive. cleanliness superb. the town was interesting with plenty to do. within 20 miles were enormous sandy beaches.
only downside was choice of food, although very good it was repetitive
would go to sardinia again with all people very friendly. almost no english spoken -what a bonus -you have to make...
