Not a very big square and disappointing from reviews i read. This is the main square with the cathedral. There is only 2 cafes on the square. Definitely worth strolling through but nothing very special about it!

It is very attractive square. One can roam around and see all the interesting facts of the city. Both in the morning and at night the square has a particular feeling to transmit.

Wonderful square surrounded by very baroque buildings. At night the atmosphere is amazing, have a dinner in a small restaurant with tables on the pavement near the gate beside the cathedral.

Nearby is the most magnificent outdoor market I have ever seen. The pescaria is in an adjacent piazza, where the fishermen peddle their wares. Beyond that is a market that...

We liked the Piazza Duomo with it's Elephant Statue and the Fountain on the side .
What we didn't like was the beggars especially in Via Etnea. Something should be done.
