Visiting these sites really was breathtaking, a pretty easy walk around and just makes you feel such a little spec in the scheme of the world! I am a retired high school English teacher and taught the Greek tragedies and comedies for years. To sit in an amphitheater where ancient plays were performed, to feel a part of a civilization centuries old, and to be warmed by the glorious Sicilian sun...well, all of this was too emotional for me! I was teary eyed through the tour... more
