There was no sandy area, a fair bit of hassle from traders and masseurs, tonnes of jelly fish which meant no paddling or swimming (but were told en route to airport that they weren't "stingers") but signage would have helped. More

Great place to chill out. It would be better without the Chinese women offering you foot massage. More

Very pretty. Our hotel overlooked Isola Bella and we spent a lot of time enjoying the view. More

We were in the Palermo portion of our swing through Malta, Sicily and Puglia - and my wife asked whether we could visit Isola Bella during our travels. My first reaction was 'probably not' since Isola Bella was in the Lakes District. But she said she had hrd a mention of Isola Bella on a TV program (back in the... More

Pretty but crowded. We went at low tide so you can walk across. Not much to do once you get there. Beaches in the area are all rocks (large) which are tough to walk on and get very hot. More

About €8 later, my wife and I were greatly surprised to find an island with literally just rocks and mixed foliage to indulge in. The views of Taormina from the island are unique, as is the process of crossing the bay barefoot in 1-1.5 ft of water, but once that novelty wore off, we had little to see since the... More

We loved the setting but found it was not easy to get to it. You need to keep your eyes open for the long stairway behind the restaurant that leads to this gorgeous location. More

a bit hard to get to as the beach is made up of pebbles. There is a museum on the island but for 4 euros entrance fee I preferred to just admire it from the beach More

The scenery is stunning around the island. The island itself is nice to see. Unfortunately when we were there the museum was closed, but we still had to pay the full ticket price despite only part of the island being open to visitors. More
