the abbey is located in a picturesque location on a hill by a forest. Do see the gardens and dine at the restaurant. There are also a few waymarked walks with great views of the Arno Valley. Needless to say there is a wine shop with a good selection of reds.

We toured this beautiful Monestary/Winery and it was wonderful. Our tour guide was excellent (she is married to the chef at the restaurant!!) and she gave us a very informative and interesting insight into this wonderful place. The garden is really beautiful. We visited the abbey and had the wine tasting. This is an old monastry which now runs as a b&B and cookery school. It is beautifuly kept and felt I could have stayed here it had such a lovely atmosphere. We noticed it also has an outside pool and may be tempted to come back to try the cookery school....

My wife and I enjoyed our lunch and afternoon at Badia a Coltibuono. The view from the restaurant is breathtaking, and the food was impressive as well. We will definitely be heading back the next time we're in Toscana!
