I'm not much of a religious art afficionado... nor am I an art lover... I could appreciate the art and it's significance. And I'm glad I went... but it was boring for me. I was ready to leave after 30 minutes but stuck it out and went through all the rooms and listened to the audio guide.

Incredible as everyone says. But, make SURE to get reservations in advance online, and also bring your own audioguide or buy one there. It'd be hard to understand the significance of the art without this. Also, be ready for crowds, both inside and outside.

I couldn't wait to go to this art museum because the last time I was in Florence it was closed due to a strike or something. You have to like medieval art with religious themes. We didn't have enough of an appreciation. The statue galleries are enormous and it was enjoyable walking through and seeing the views from the windows.

We love this "Museo" and could have stayed for at least 2 more hours. We went on our own and got the audio tours for 6 euro(make sure they put in the right language code)

There is a 3hours queue for those who hasn't bought tickets in advance, 30minutes queue for those who did. We actually wer lucky, activists of a foundation (to preserve the art of Italy) were selling pre-purchased tickets in the 3hrs long queue - for 5 euros extra (which is the membership fee of the foundation).
