We had ordered our tickets on line, which is a huge plus. Get the early in the day, there is less people to deal with. Check to see what days they are closed, so you won't be disappointed if you are there on a day they are closed. More

It is almost a shame that there are so many other amazing sculptures as they all pale in comparison. pay the 4e for the reserved viewing time, why would you waste a minute (let alone hour) of your precious time in Italy standing in a line? We arrived at 2:00 and the line was immense, we went to the reservation... More

The statue is situated in what amounts to a sort of outside museum. You can spend as much time as you like wandering around the piazza and see other sculptures such as The Rape of the Sabine Women, at the same time. More

Blown away by the size, you have too see it for real, a photo or glossy picture can never do this fantastic work justice - worth the queue! More

I am not a huge art buff but while in Florence, it seemed like we really should try to see some of the art that we have been seeing in books since we were kids. So we headed down to the museum and got in line. We came so close to bailing out since the line just didn't seem to... More

Loved the Academia~Hated the wait nearly 2 hours to get in. Being EEC OAP's though, you do get in free on showing your passport. This is the case for all State Run Museums/Galleries and you get reduced admission at Municipal Run Places. More

I was prepared to be disappointed given all the hype, but this it well worth the visit. Just amazing. Make SURE to get reservations in advance, though. Don't be one of the naive tourists waiting for hours on line! More
