Much of the interior is dull, but the statuary on the upper floors is interesting. The photography ban is excessively enforced, which seems such a shame for somewhere that doesn't even sell postcards of what it holds. More

Most people walk by this building and don't even notice this but this is my favority in Florence and probably in Italy. Donatello's St George (now a replica - original in is the Bargello Museum) and St Mark are here. Also statues done originally by Verrocchio and Ghiberti.
