Our tour guide, Paola Barubiani, was not the best tour guide we had in Italy. We had 2 different tour guides in Rome and one in the Amalfi Coast to compare tour guides and I can say she was far from the best. She had no sign with our name to identify her as our tour guide when we met... More

Unless you are an art historian yourself and your time is unlimited, get a guide to see art in Florence. The experience is so much richer. And Flavia was the perfect guide for us. She knew where to go and what to see at the major art museums in our limted time, and she even got us on an elevator... More

As we just arrived in Florence, this tour gave us a good understanding of the essence of Florence. We got to see Palazzo Davanzati, Piazza della Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio, Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo & the Baptistry, and the Accademia Gallery with Michelangelo's David while on the tour. Our guide Paola just got us into the Palazzo Davanzati as it was... More

We had the most wonderful walking tour with Marzia. She was knowledgable, enthusiastic and so much fun. She brought history to life and shared it in a way that made it memorable to all four of us. We will never forget Cosimo l and the story of the Medicis! And Michelangelo and his David - what can I say. This... More

We arranged for one guided tour while we were in Italy - a half-day walking tour of Florence culminating in David at the Academia on our first full day in Florence. We chose Walks Inside Florence based on the recommendation of Brent Crook of Your Enchanted Italy [a concierge service] and the tour and experience was exactly what we had... More

A few friends and I booked a tour of the Uffizi Gallery to see the highlights. We had a marvelous tour with Paola. When she learned that we live in Holland--the land of Rembrandt--she made a special detour to show us the Rembrandts in the collection. Her knowledge and insight made the time fly and we all agreed we could... More

An ideal guided tour gives you valuable information about what you are looking at, in such a way that you don't feel stupid, but it also stimulates your desire to learn more about what you have seen. That's what education is all about. Emma fulfilled both, in a very pleasant manner, that is, shall I say, typically Florentine? Dominique Garrel More

We did a 3 hour (turned out to be, happily, closer to 4) walking tour of Florence with Marzia and everyone -- four adults and 3 teen boys -- loved it. She is broadly and deeply familiar with the architecture, art, history, and lore of the city. We spent a long time in the Accademia with Michael Angelo, in particulr,... More

Muy recomendable More

The afternoon we spent with Paola Barubiani of Walks Inside Florence was wonderful. Even though my wife and I have been to Florence a number times before, we learned so much from Paola that it almost felt like our first visit. All of the little interesting facts and hidden places she showed us, like the wine doors on buildings and... More
