We were lucky to have met Freya 2 years ago while visiting Florence and had wonderful experiences touring with her then, so when we booked our trip this year it was absolutely imperative that we would book some more tours with her. I really can't say enough good things about our experiences with her in Florence. Our best days there... More

It was a cold, wet day when we caught up with our private tour guide. This was the only thing chilly about our day. Freya is a warm, outgoing person with an extensive knowledge of the art, architecture and history of Florence and a passion to share this effusively. Combine this with her recommendations for restaurants/cafes (vegetarian for me), bakery,... More

We had specifically asked for a 'flavour' of Florence tour, Rather than in-depth History and Art tour, we wanted to get a feel for the city and, drink some good coffee and see artisans at work etc. Our guide Patti was great . We enjoyed seeing all the fresh produce at the Food Market before visiting the Leather School at... More

This is our first visit to Florence, it is a place I wanted to visit since 20yrs ago. You can imagine, I spend many waking hours searching for a great private walking tour to do in Florence. I must say Freya's private walking tour did it for us. The guide was fantastic, she was both knowledgeable and fun to be... More

We recently booked two tours with Freya's Florence Private Tours. The first tour was Florence at Dusk and the second tour was a customized Uffizi Gallery and Accademia in one afternoon tour. Our first guide, Claire, did a very good job of explaining the history of the areas near the Arno river. The tour route was interesting for myself and... More

Our group of four had a very short time in Florence; Freya made the most of our every minute. From the beginning, we were struck by her enthusiasm and knowledge. Her dynamic presentation of Renaissance history and politics made her interpretation of the art and architecture come alive. She pointed out fascinating details, welcomed questions, and was eager for us... More

My 18 year old daughter and I had two fabulous mornings with Freya. I am interested in art history and although also interested, my daughter's attention span starts to wander to shopping and eating! Freya brought everything to life with a matter-of-fact, real Aussie enthusiasm - she kept us entertained with her incredible knowledge and bubbling personality. She gained entry... More

We had been told of Freya before our arrival in Florence and pre arranged a 3 hour morning tour on our fist day. Within the first half an hour what she imparted upon us for understanding Florence and its people, places, architecture and historical timeline was worth the whole fee. Her keen sense of ascertaining your level of knowledge and... More

We feel very fortunate to have booked with Freya's Florence. We visited over Easter weekend while on a cruise. She rearranged things (due to the holiday) so that we didn't miss out on anything while there. She is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about her "adopted" city, it's art and history. We would have missed out on so many things had... More
